President Xi visits the White House on September 24, 2026, and U.S. and Chinese negotiators opened talks in New York on September 20 with a truce extension on the agenda. The truce expires November 10. The night before, at 11:59 p.m. on November 9, the 178 China Section 301 product exclusions and the one-year suspension of the port fees and the proposed 100% duties on cranes and chassis both run out.

Frequently asked questions

A person on our team reads every request and replies within one business day, usually with a few questions about your product, quantities and timing. Most clients are on a discovery call within 48 hours of submitting, with engagement terms mapped within 7 days. Nothing is charged before your terms are written down.
A sourcing agent and importer, headquartered in Austin, Texas, with full-time sourcing staff in China, Vietnam and Mexico. We find and vet the factory, run samples, production and inspection, and handle freight and customs to your door. We don't own factories, run a marketplace or sell lists of factory contacts.
It depends on how you buy. Many clients act as their own importer of record. On delivered, duty-paid (DDP) orders, the importer of record is typically one of our affiliated importing entities, so the goods reach you with duties already paid. Either way, we handle classification, customs paperwork and the broker.
Yes. We manage samples until quality, fit and finish match the standard you will accept, then lock that golden sample as the reference every production run is inspected against. First samples are often in hand within 3 to 5 weeks.
First orders take longest because they include sampling. Reorders from Asia typically run 60 to 120 days door to door, depending on the product and order size. Nearshore programs in Mexico often reorder in 2 to 4 weeks.
Yes. We never approach a factory without an NDA with Importivity in place, plus an NDA and a non-use, non-circumvention (NNN) agreement specific to your project. Tooling and molds you pay for are yours, including if the engagement ends. Ask and we'll send our NNN template.
Three inspections are the floor on every project: a factory inspection, a pre-production inspection by our representative, and a pre-shipment inspection by an accredited third-party firm working to a checklist we write for your product. After delivery, you have 14 days to report defects.
