Businesses that build products take real risks.

They risk everything to bring a product to market. Years of their lives, their capital, and their relationships, all committed long before there is certainty.

They are builders and operators. They turn ideas into physical goods that people rely on every day. Product based businesses create jobs, move industries forward, and transform concepts into something real.

But global sourcing is stacked against them.

Tariffs shift without warning. Supply chains break. Factories disappear. Costs rise quietly and margins erode. Large corporations absorb the impact. Independent brands and growing companies do not.

Global sourcing was not built for growing businesses.

Product based businesses are constrained by a sourcing system built for scale, not clarity. Large manufacturers prioritize volume, while intermediaries obscure true costs and shift risk downstream. Visibility is often lost once commitments are made.

At the same time, global corporations invest heavily in supply chain leverage, allowing them to absorb tariff changes, logistics disruptions, and production failures that smaller teams cannot.

Importivity exists to change how sourcing works.

Importivity provides transparent sourcing systems that give product based businesses clear visibility into factories, costs, and supply chain risk, so they can operate with confidence in a complex global market.

How It Started

Importivity was founded by two childhood friends, Jordan Lewis and Tanner Plante, after the successful sale of their software development company. What started as a passion for international travel quickly turned into something bigger. Through years of running ecommerce projects, they gained hands-on experience importing products from around the world; navigating suppliers, shipping logistics, and the challenges of working across borders.

That journey revealed a glaring problem… too many businesses were wasting money and time dealing with unreliable factories, unclear landed costs, and endless production delays. Jordan and Tanner saw firsthand how brands were left vulnerable when sourcing overseas without the right systems in place.

Together, they set out with a bold mission; to build the #1 product sourcing company in the world. Everything we do at Importivity is completed with that mission in mind… to remove risk from sourcing, deliver clarity at every stage, and give our clients the ability to scale with confidence.

What Product Sourcing Experts Actually Do

Most sourcing agencies want you to believe their job is simple: find a factory, place an order, and ship it out. But if you’ve ever imported products before, you already know the truth, that’s where the real problems start.

1. Submit Your Product Sourcing Request and Book a Call

Submit your request and schedule a call with our team. We review your product, goals, target pricing, and timelines to understand what success looks like before sourcing begins.

2. Discovery and Sourcing Strategy Mapping

We map out your sourcing strategy and define key requirements such as materials, specifications, packaging, compliance needs, and shipping considerations. This ensures factories are approached with clear expectations and the right cost targets.

3. Factory Vetting, Pricing, and Cost Transparency

We identify and verify qualified factories, then share clear pricing and full cost breakdowns before any samples are ordered. This gives you real margin visibility upfront.

4. Portal Access, Documentation, and Sampling

You are added to the Importivity portal for communication and documentation. NDAs are completed if needed, and a small deposit is used to order samples and validate quality.

5. Production, Quality Control, and Shipping

Once samples are approved, we coordinate production, quality control systems, and shipping through final delivery to reduce delays and surprises.

6. Ongoing Optimization and Scaling

We continue improving pricing, lead times, supplier performance, and logistics as you scale your supply chain.

Transparent Pricing and Resources

Our fee structure is fully transparent. We charge a 6 to 10 percent flat fee based on profit, depending on order volume, so our incentives stay aligned with yours.

Here are a few important tools and template resources you may find helpful:

  1. Trump-Era Tariff Tracker
  2. RFQ Template
  3. Supplier Onboarding Checklist
  4. Factory Visit Checklist
  5. BOM Template
  6. Landed Cost Calculator
